Academic Development
The role of the Academic Development Office is to assist students with the transition from high school to college and to connect students to appropriate campus-wide support services. The ADS team compliments the work of the students' Academic Advisors by helping targeted students develop individual academic support plans.
The Specialists will schedule several individual meetings throughout the semester with students who have been identified as academically at-risk. By meeting with students frequently, the Specialists hope to be able to identify crisis situations, monitor students' academic progress, and refer them to REACH academic support services as well as other appropriate support services and organizations on campus.
