The small group sessions are designed for students who need assistance in courses not offered with the Learning Assistance (LA) or Supplemental Instruction (SI) programs or for students who cannot attend these sessions.
Preparing for Graduate School?
The LRC offers review sessions for graduate exams each semester.
We have tutors experienced in taking the exam as well as new review books and practice exams for your use. PREP session schedules will be determined based on interest and presenter availability.

CLEP Testing
The LRC is now offering small group review tutoring sessions for CLEP tests in many different subject areas. The sessions have been designed based on CLEP study guides to provide a comprehensive review of the subject prior to taking the test. Review session schedules will be determined based on interest. Please contact the LRC Coordinator or GSA's for more information.

Tutoring for Disabled Students
Individual Tutoring for Disabled Students is available through REACH. Students with physical disabilities or diagnosed learning disabilities are provided appropriate accommodations when making a tutoring request with the LRC Coordinator. The LRC and the Disabilities Resource Center collaborate to both advise and refer students to appropriate services in both centers.
Resources in the LRC
The LRC Computer Mini-Lab located in Strickler Hall Room 107 is available for students to use for email, Internet research, and Blackboard access. Textbooks with CDRom are available for the GRE, LSAT, and the MCAT exams. The LRC Computer Mini-Lab should not be confused with the REACH Computer Center, which is located in Strickler Hall Room 331, where UnipriNT is available.
The electronic classroom, located in Strickler Hall Room 111, is a state-of-the-art classroom with:
- Internet-ready computer with smart board technology (LCD touch screen with pen that allows electronic writing and highlighting on the computer desktop)
- Document projector for displaying handouts and notes not in electronic format
- DVD & VHS VCR
- Connection available for a laptop computer or external audio/video source
U of L faculty and staff can reserve the room for classes and presentations. Contact the LRC Coordinator to check availability or request a reservation.
